Every Transmission Job — Done Properly

Whether it's a slipping clutch or a full rebuild, our process is the same: figure out what's actually wrong, fix it right, and back it up.

  • Diagnostics on automatic and automated (AMT) transmission ECUs
  • Clutch inspection, adjustment, and replacement on manual gearboxes
  • Manual transmission repair and rebuilds — gears, bearings, synchros
  • Automatic & AMT service, shift faults, and actuator repair
  • Clutch hydraulics — master and slave cylinders, linkage, and release bearings
  • Driveline service — U-joints, carrier bearings, and driveshafts
  • Differential and rear-end inspection and repair
  • Fluid and filter service to factory spec
  • Post-repair road test before we hand the keys back

Symptoms We See Every Week

If your truck is doing any of these, bring it in before it strands you. Caught early, most of them are a far smaller job.

Slipping or Won't Stay in Gear

Engine revs but the truck doesn't pull, or it pops out of gear under load. Usually a worn clutch, linkage, or internal wear — we confirm which.

Hard or Grinding Shifts

Crunching into gear or fighting the stick. Could be clutch adjustment, hydraulics, synchros, or shift-fork wear.

Clutch Drag or Chatter

Clutch won't fully release, or it shudders on takeoff. We check the clutch pack, hydraulics, and flywheel before recommending parts.

Won't Go Into Gear

Stuck at a stop or can't select a gear at all. On AMT and automatics this is often an actuator or sensor fault we can read on the scanner.

Driveline Vibration

A shake that grows with speed. Worn U-joints, a failing carrier bearing, or an out-of-balance driveshaft — caught early it's cheap.

Fluid Leaks & Noise

Puddles under the gearbox or whining and growling from the driveline. Low or burnt fluid wrecks a transmission fast — we trace the source.

Straight Talk, Then Straight to Work

No upsells. No guessing. Four steps from truck-in-the-bay to back-on-the-road.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

Scanner, road test, and a hands-on inspection. We find out whether it's the clutch, the gearbox, or the driveline — not just guess.

  2. 02

    Quote

You get a clear estimate — parts, labor, and timeline — before we turn a single wrench.

  3. 03

    Repair

Quality parts, factory torque specs, and a tech who knows the gearbox. Rebuild or replace — whatever's right for your truck.

  4. 04

    Road Test

We don't release the truck until it shifts clean, pulls right, and the driveline runs smooth.

"Good service, great staff."

Transmission Service — Quick Answers

What transmissions do you work on?

All the heavy-duty units — Eaton Fuller manuals, Eaton and Volvo automated (AMT) boxes, Allison automatics, and Meritor driveline — across Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Mack, Volvo, and International trucks. If it's a commercial gearbox, we work on it.

Do I need a clutch or a whole transmission?

That's exactly what the diagnosis tells us. A lot of "transmission" complaints turn out to be a worn clutch, bad hydraulics, or linkage — a much smaller job. We find the root cause before quoting you, so you're not paying for parts you don't need.

How long will my truck be in the shop?

Diagnostics are usually same day. A clutch job is typically 1–2 days. A full rebuild or replacement runs longer — but you'll get a timeline with the quote, before we start.

Do you rebuild transmissions or just replace them?

Both — we'll tell you which makes sense for your truck and budget. Sometimes a rebuild is the smart call; sometimes a reman or new unit is cheaper over the long run. We lay out the options honestly.

Can you do an MTO safety at the same time?

Yes. We're a licensed MTO Safety Inspection Station, so if your truck is in for driveline work and needs a sticker, we can handle both in one visit.

Truck Down? Let's Talk.

Call and you'll talk to a real mechanic, not a service writer. We'll tell you what we think before you bring it in.
